Making a laundry room door

I have a question concerning the folding, usually louvered, doors that you put over utility or laundry rooms. I need 96" covered. So I purchased four 24" doors. I would think that you could connect two of them to make a 48" door. Two of these would make my 96". Question Is how should I do it, and is there a way to do it?

You can buy bi-fold doors with all the hardware at Home Depot, Lowers, and Menards in all sizes. Making your own, you would still lack the hardware such as the tracks, rollers, supports.

If you already have the doors, you can buy an overhead track, bottom stay and posts and other hardware you need separately at Lowes or Home Depot. You may have to join 2 - 48" overhead tracks to get 96" track. You can do this alone but helpful to have a second person manage the moving of the doors! Good luck!

I love Laurie idea but if it's not your thing then just keep in mind to measure the doors, they leave room for hinges and stuff if they are 24 each then also take into account that you will need stronger hinges due to weight. One last thing, right now when you open the doors they only take up 2 ft, you will need to have larger clearance to accommodate 4 ft.

Sorry. Having trouble with the computer typing and losing connection. I had the guy who is gonna hang them look at them. He is going to put hinges on to join the 2 doors and install a really small wheel to help support doors. Sounded good to me!
