I want to make a chevron shutter for the outside of my house. Does anyone have instructions.

  I saw this but I only want two sections and wasn’t sure how to determine length of each piece since I’m not going to have the third? Geometry is not my strong area so would I just take the width of the overall shutter, divide by 2 and then cut at the angle?
