Can I stick a wooden board into a compact wooden surface?
I have a large writing table with a white compressed wooden surface, which I don't use anymore. I need to turn it into a backyard table; by covering the surface with an oak wooden plate. Is this possible, or I would create a good environment for termite?
Thanks in advance

No more so than most other wood patio furniture. I would be more concerned about weather damage than termites. Even under a covered patio, weather takes its toll on wood furniture. Would need to be oiled well at least yearly or use a marine type varnish to keep it in top condition.
Seal it with Hellsman marine urethane. Mainly from the weather. Termites should not be that much of a concern.
You can use a sealer for outdoor wood or paint.
Thanks.
