I am looking for plans/directions to make a wood stove cover that I can use as counter space when not using stove. Handles for easy lifting and moving. Thank you.

You can have a piece of plywood cut to size at places like Home Depot and Lowes. Then trim the edges with quarter round and add cabinet handles.

See my previous comment on making a fire-resistant one for a conventional stove.

I would not put plywood on top of a wooden stove, unless it’s stone cold.

My design is based on tile mosaics, thinset & grouted to cementicious tile backer board.

I would go with something on the vein of wood you would use for a butcher block, finish it after sending it down. See how far you need to take it up so that it doesn't touch the burner grates and get wood handles or some type of wood to use as legs that will raise it the height you need. My moms microwave cart actually has a real wood top and I lemon oil it to keep it safe when I work on it, but I actually put a cutting board that is about two thirds of the size (the biggest one I have on top of it for cutting jobs.

saws, sander, plywood, carpenters glue, wood screws, and handles either store bought or rope, casters;here's how to do it just need to modify size to fit over your wood stove and make it with no back or bottom and cut out for stove pipe so you can push it over stove. Box frame https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSvpYh5OBYU Just use these basics to get ideas of how to make the right box for you. I'd put it on casters so it's easier to move then you could use it elsewhere when not over stove in warm weather.info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwbF9baVlN4 Have you ever n made built anything? you can measure size then have boards precut I looked & looked for actual plans Nothing you'll have to custom make this
