You can get queen bed frames at second hand stores for about $10, then make your own headboard very inexpensively. That is what we have always done. If you need help with a headboard, we are glad to help.
I just went to Lowe's and bought chunky legs, flipped the box spring over and screwed the legs on.. Make sure you also put some in the middle for support. Then flipped it over and made the bed. Cheap and simple. Haven't had a problem with it and I've had it in my guest room for years.
cool idea buying the chunky legs for your queen bed frame, although I checked the price and they cost over $8 a piece. So I u need 5 ..........than that would be over $40.... That seems high for trying to do it cheap
I guess that depends on the legs you choose. I chose to go as cheap as would hold the bed safely. Mine were less than 2 bucks each..so around 10 bucks.
