How do I calculate how many wall blocks I will need for my gardens?
I just tore apart our front gardens, encased for 20 years in timbers. There are three separate gardens...and because of the slope, they are different heights. They sit directly in front of our elevated front deck - total length (I'm guessing) is 40 feet. I would like to turn the center area into 4 steps leading down onto the lawn - add a stone walk way - and round out the other two gardens (instead of straight across) to make them more interesting. I also have a bird bath and garden globe and am considering getting a flagpole. I would love to see some interesting ideas (with pictures, please!) for landscaping with blocks (4 inch x 11.5 inch) - and instructions on how to calculate the number of blocks I will need. Thank You!

Length X Height = Square Feet. The 4" X 11.5" blocks are appr. 1/3rd square foot.
Length X Height of walls divided by .31 would give you amount of blocks.
