dial up the main branch of your post office ask how they would like to handle it...when the fence went up at my parents place, the mail box was mounted to the side of the house, near the side door. The drive was fenced with gates if needed. The gates were rarly used.Helpful Reply -

How about a large box like structure inside the fence with a door on the outside of the fence for deliveries? or use one of those smart phone apps and door locks you can open when they call.Helpful Reply -

So I take it that it's for security purposes and not just for a dog and that you will always have it closed and locked? You may want to just have packages left at post office and a notice to be left that it's ready to be picked up. Not ideal but it's an option.Helpful Reply -

We have a fence around our property. The UPS delivery person just gently lowers it over the fence. Haven't had a problem in the last 20 years. But you must have some sort of gate. Why can't they just place the package inside the gate?Helpful Reply -
