What's the best way to attach a patio cover on the back of my house where it won't leak in between the roof and the patio? A few years ago I nailed a 2 x 6 on to the facia on the back of my house and then they'll 2 x 6 boards out to the edge of the patio and I've had corrugated tin on top of that for shade porch, but every time it would rain the water eventually began leaking down in between the facia board an the patio cover and onto the porch? over the years it got worse and worse and eventually rotter the boards out, replaced all the facia and I'd like to redo it and put new patio cover up! What's the best way to attach it to the house to where it won't leak ?

You need to put up flashing and caulk in between the facia.

We did something similar but put a bead of silicone of the seam of every piece of corrugated metal and over lapped which one too. Also when using screws to attach the metal sheets use screws that have rubber gaskets. It makes them more waterproof. Also put screws into the high part of the metal because the water drains down the low part.
