How do you clean the chrome trays around the electric coils on a stove

If they're rusty, I just but new ones. Otherwise, I clean them in the dishwasher or with oven cleaner. -

Most electric stove have coils that pull out for cleaning.. pull them out, remove the chrome tray, and hand wash in the sink (if you are in a hurry) or wash in the dishwasher.... soak them in hot water and Dawn if they are baked on, caked on.... most home improvement stores carry replacement ones... just take an old one to match the size. -

I am still waiting to replace mine with stainless steel. I think it is worth the cost but Home Depot etc, no longer sell them. -

After a while it's easier to just buy new - they are not expensive.
