Removing stains from the front of my stainless steel dishwasher door

On the door of my stainless steel dishwasher something has apparently spilled down the front of the door and I've used several stainless steel cleaners & polishes and can't get the stain to remove. Does anyone have any suggestions for removing my troubled spots?

Make a paste with baking soda and water that should work.

I work at a hotel and we have stainless steel refrigerators and dishwashers. The guests insist on putting magnets on the stainless steel and eventually they leave rust marks. What I use is "Barkeepers Friend". I put very little on with my finger, work it on the stain but work the grain of the stainless steel, go across not up and down. Try a small area, then just wipe the residue off with a damp cloth. Good luck
