Make a paste with baking soda and water that should work.
Rub any type of oil against the grain with a micro fiber cloth
I work at a hotel and we have stainless steel refrigerators and dishwashers. The guests insist on putting magnets on the stainless steel and eventually they leave rust marks. What I use is "Barkeepers Friend". I put very little on with my finger, work it on the stain but work the grain of the stainless steel, go across not up and down. Try a small area, then just wipe the residue off with a damp cloth. Good luck

All Stainless steel is not made the same. Many have coatings or a different finish. I would first email or phone customer service of the manufacturer. They have had this problem before and will know best.
