I put mine in the washing machine with 2-3 towels then hang it up to dry. If it doesn't come clean doing that, lay it out on your patio or grass and use water with Dawn dish washing soup and a scrub brush to get it really clean. Rinse with the hose and hang to dry. You need to use Dawn as it will not harm your grass or plants.

  • Wash it! Put it in the washing machine on the gentle cycle. Couple tablespoons of laundry detergent, couple cups of white vinegar ,and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Warm or cold wash and rinse. Hang back up right out of the washer. Open a window or run a portable fan till it is dry. Should take care of it. Vinegar kills mold spores, bleach does not. Does not matter if liner is plastic or fabric. Comes out beautiful every time!

Using bleach on anything synthetic will eventually "yellow" or "gray" the item. Will also weaken fibers of fabric over time. Use vinegar and baking soda in the wash and vinegar in the rinse cup - no fabric softener.

I also wash my shower curtain liner in the washing machine, cold water with a little detergent, and 1/2 cup of vinegar. I put it in the dryer for five minutes, then hang it back up in the bathroom. Fancy shower curtains should never be inside the tub, and the liners should always be used inside when showering or wet. We have a low ceiling in the tub bathroom, so a can use inexpensive liners. When a liner no longer looks and smells like vinyl, I buy a new one at Dollar Tree. Good luck. ☺️

Bi-weekly I'll generously spray the curtain with a mixture of vinegar, dish soap and hot water, rinse with clear water. If super dirty, I wash it in the washing machine with a bunch of rags on the gentle cycle. Works great. Best of luck.

Cutting off the "lip" at the bottom of the S. curtain where scum catches will help and then place the dirty curtain in a large tub or bath tub with a dilute solution of water and bleach until soap scum and dirt is removed will finish the job. Then wipe down the curtain with a clean sponge and rinse curtain with clean water In the bath tub.

I just keep a spray bottle of 10% bleach solution in shower, and spray any areas molding before I get out of shower.

I wash my shower curtain liner with vinegar added to regular wash. I also add a couple of bath towels to help "scrub" the soap film away. Hang back up to dry.

Machine wash on delicate or gentle cycle with warm water (cold water may cause the plastic to crack on the liner) and your usual laundry detergent, you can also put in other dedicates to help with the scrubbing. When done, hang to dry.

You can put that in the washing machine. Spray with Clorox cleanup first. It will come out great. I have been doing it for years.

Prepare in your bathtub a solution of detergent and bleach In hot water. Take down your shower curtain and allow it to soak in this solution. That should get rid of all the yucky stuff after a while. Then drain the tub and rinse your shower curtain well. Rehang it and you're all set!

Start by putting the shower curtain In the tub. Cover the curtain, with water and 1 cup vinegar, let sit for 1 hr. Scrub with stiff brush lightly. Rinse, wash with laundry detergent, and hang up to dry. At the bottom of the curtain, there is a lip, that water catches, cut it off, your curtain will not hold water. When your done, close the shower curtain to dry. When you shower, and are done, shake the curtain to get off some water. Your liner should be on the inside of the tub, and the curtain outside. Good Luck!

You could lay it flat and scrub the mold off with a Javex , vinegar, or baking soda solution.

Beware: Not all liners can be washed. The cheap, $5 ones from Walmart say this on the package, but I threw caution to the wind and put it in the washer on gentle, cold water anyway. Came out fine, but then I put it in the dryer on low with some towels. Came out a crumpled mess that I could not begin to pull apart -- and after only about 5 minutes! Thank goodness I only paid $5 for it.
