How can I shine my bathroom taps?
The people that lived here before us took the shine right off the taps, they are all spotty and short of buying new taps I can't get the shine back?

Hi Pamela, try a product called Polytrol by Owatrol USA, it's a color restorer used for many surfaces including metal, stone and plastic

Hi Pamela if scrubbing etc doesn't work you might consider repainting them. Rustoleum has a whole like of spray paint specific for fixtures then you could have them in any finish you like!
if they have worn finish on them you could paint them with a special paint for faucets - to shine them make sure they are dry then add a drop of lemon oil on a soft rag and shine them up
Awesome thanks
You could try using some lemon essential oil diluted with some coconut oil
Should should spray them with clear coat to add the shine back
If they removed the shine, you might be hard pressed to get it back. Replacing the knobs is easy and generally pretty inexpensive, probably less so than buying all sorts of cleaners and your time.
