I have used the defuzzers before seem to work ok. Same a razor.
an electric razor works well.
Try putting it in the fridge first before each wear (I'm told it works)? or use Sticky tape around your hand and try to get the fuss to stick to the tape by pressing on and off........
I have used a battery operated ( some have an optional plug in adapter) to clean up pilling on my cashmere and fine woolens without any concern or damages noted.
