I've used a product called Nok-Out. Takes a couple applications, but works.

You need to neutralize the acidic pee, try using baking soda on the spot (lots and lots rubbed into the carpet fibres) let it sit, then vacuum up the baking soda

Burn the house down. Lol. Just joking. Pour warm water on the spot/spots. Dump baking soda on top. Use a tooth brush and scrub over it. Cover the spots with paper plates for maybe twenty minutes. Then use your shop vac and let it do its job. May need to go over or let vacuum remain on spots to make sure you're getting all the water up. Carpet should just feel a little damp. Check the spot occasionally to make sure water isn't still coming up. That should take care of it. Unless it's on a carpet seam. Then you may as well replace it, animal peepee neutralizes the glue and the whole area has to come out. Believe me. I speak from experience. Best of luck.

You can also buy a product from WalMart in the vacuum cleaner section that says it removes pet urine odors...Rug Dr. or something but it's in a silver bottle along with the vacuum shampoo products. I used it where my dog had an accident while sick and he's never gone back to it.

Hi there, you'll need to clean the rug really, really well with a cleaner that breaks down the urea. That's what makes cat pee smell so strong. OudorMute works really well. Cats have a tendency to do their business in the same spot again so use citronella incense sticks or room spray to stop them from coming into the room.
