just a quilt ; put in wash machine on cold water wash with Woolite(laundry detergent) delicate cycle then dry on low/warm setting in dryer or hang dry if you can/have somewhere to hang it up;

They appear to be a little more study or wear better since they don't have as many seams. In your opinion is that correct?
Given the quality of some of todays textiles, I'd check for good seam allowances and number of stitches per inch, as well as fabrics utilized. Exposed raw edges and miniscule seam allowances are generally a sign of inferior workmanship.
I take mine to the laundromat. They get so heavy when wet and my wash machine doesn't like that! You can use a delicate setting and a cooler dryer.
