How to make white clothes white again

How to you make something that was white brighter, or is this not possible?

    You can use a bluing agent they sell in the laundry detergent aisle to add to your wash or get Iron Out to use but with this only put it in with white clothes. It will also do an awesome job of cleaning your washer. It is sold in the hardware stores.

    Try vinegar in your soap dispenser in your washing machine.

    add clorox to your wash.then rewash with a little blueing in the water.be sure its mixed well before adding clothes.
  • I agree with Reta... that is how I do it.... or the blueing will stain your clothes if directly applied to the clothes Iron out is also a good idea if you are on well water...

    Try something called White Brite; it has optical whiteners/brighteners and is less harsh than Iron Out or other rust removers.

    borax in supper hot water. I like to simmer them for about 15 min. Really work great.

    1/2 cup bleach... i cup powder dishwashing detergent,.. i gallon water. let soak, and stir about every 10-15 min, then rinse and watch as uasual. soak for about 1/2 hr

    I do what Rita and Cheryl do plus hang in the sun light to help whiten the white cottons. If this does not help I learned from a long time waitress that she died her white tops to keep them white enough to use a work shirts.
