I have rust stains on my carpet, I tried several methods , but so far I hadn't found a solution .

"Blot the stain with a clean portion of the white cloth. If the ruststain residue still remains, mix lemon juice, white vinegar and salt together and apply this mixture directly onto the ruststain. Rust succumbs easily to oxalic acid also sold as wood bleach. So may the color of your carpet. As always try a little in the corner where no one will see. Protect your hands and make a paste of the stuff'. Should work almost immediately. If you have access to a water extraction carpet cleaner (like a Bissell) cleaning with clear water, after removing as much of the acid as you can with a wet cloth, would be a good use for it
