How can I remove a stubborn stain on my blouse?
While cleaning out our cucumber patch I got some cucumber "sap" or thick juice on a blouse. I have tried alcohol, zout pretreat, a mix of baking soda, provide and blue Dawn and nothing has even lightened the stain. The fabric is 100 percent cotton. Any suggestions on what to try next? It has not been in the dryer to set the stain.

Hi Joyce,
I found something that might help, but it's for hands/skin not clothing. It explains why this happens and what causes it. There are a couple of ideas here that you might be able to adapt to fabric. One is to soak it a long time first, then work to treat it. Tree sap is supposed to come off with alcohol so I think you're on the right track. Maybe you just need to soak it in water first or in alcohol longer. Wishing you the best.

As long as you have not washed the garment a solution such as Resolve or Shout should work, Put it on the stain and then let sit for a while. Rinse by hand in COLD water to see if it has come out. You could also try soaking it in cold water and OxiClean. .
Soak in a Bio wash powder overnight and then wash in the normal way.
