Need to get out the smell of fire smoke out of my clothing n such ? Wash clothes

PineSol soak is good for removing odors. Then wash as normal.
Vinegar! Add a cup or two to the wash. Also place in rinse cup instead of fabric softener. Adding baking soda helps too.

This one recommends using hot water, I have never had to do that and I have had to wash some pretty smokey clothes.

First air dry clothes outside then when you wash add additional soap to washer. Sometimes you have to wash twice.
Most home-owner's insurance will cover damage to items ruined by fire smoke. Make a complete inventory of anything you're not able to remove the smoke from, and turn it in as an amendment to the fire claim. I was able to have items of clothing, paintings, décor, furniture, etc. replaced that were damaged by smoke.
I put one cup white vinegar in the wash along with regular laundry soap and sprinkle baking soda in it. Wash as u normally would. One dryer cycle gets rid of the vinegar smell. I also used this on clothes left in my garage for 2 years n smelled real musty! One wash cycle and musty smell gone!!! One dryer cycle and vinegar smell gone! It works!!!
