How do I clean air freshener residue off the floor?

How do I Clean air freshener residue off floor. It’s in a bathroom and floor is sticky

      No it’s from people spraying febreze on a daily basis in the bathroom cubicle. It falls to floor and is now very sticky. The cleaning product we use doesn’t remove it. But thanks for the above

    Wipe it off with rubbing alcohol.

    I would think a good grease cutting detergent like Dawn would work.


    You can make your own frebeze of sorts by adding 1/4 of fabric softener to a spray bottle and top off with water. This will give a nice scent but not leave the oily residue like the original because it is only fabric softener.


    Another nice quality is that is costs about 1/10 of what you pay for a bottle of Frebeze.

    If you have a tile floor, mop with this

    1 cup baking soda

    1 cup white cleaning vinegar

    1 Tbsp blue Dawn

    2 gallons hot water (I boil about 1/3 of mine)
