How do I remove comet residue from painted wood floor on porch?

I have a screened back porch with a painted wood floor. Trying to determine how best to clean. I used dawn soap with water. I also used comet to try and get marks off. Comet left film. I can’t seem to remove the white film residue in some spots where the comet still resides.

I would use 2 containers , put plain water in one and a mix of hot water and white vinegar in the other . i would use a rag or sponge and keep cleaning the area w here the comet is , but rinse the sponge in clear water after wiping each time , before dipping it back into the water/vinegar mix , so you don't get and of the gritty comet residue into it . Good luck !

Take a scrub brush and hot water and scrub the spot with the comet

Comet contains bleach. It may have bleached the color out.

Is it possible that you scrubbed too hard with the comet and removed the surface of your painted floor? As a rule, comet usually comes off quite easily with soap and water.
