Bona for hardwood floors.
It sounds like a buildup from a cleaning product, Annettte. Many people use a product called Bona, but I've also heard vinegar and water will work. Test in in a small spot first, though.

Vinegar might be good for one cleaning, but it is an acid and should not be used continuously as it will deteriorate the finish on the surface of the wood. Try a mix with water and some baking soda. Be sure to damp mop only so that it dries quickly and does not spot.
Chances are you have used wood products on a prefab wood floors. You cannot do this. They have a sealer on them that it adheres to and makes them cloudy.
