Stained area in engineered wood floor

Question

assumed this was mold but nothing I have used will remove it.  Can the area be sanded and restained?  If yes, how?

we had engineered hardwood floors and used vinegar and pet enzyme cleaner on our diabetic dog pee stains. It lightened the wood lighter than the floor. In the end once we remodeled and because of damage to the floors, we had to tear out. They could not be sanded down as it only has a thin layer of “wood” on top. We replaced all of our flooring with luxury vinyl planks that are waterproof and gorgeous. No one can tell they are vinyl and all think they are wood floors.

you Could try a very light sander fine grade in the spot ?

Try taking a flour sack towel and put over the stain and take a hot iron and iron it should lift stain good luck.

Test a tiny area with nail polish remover and a q-tip and see if it will lift the stain. Had similar issue with a dining room table and it worked for me.

I refinished my hardwood floors and found that hair dye developer was the only thing that worked on deep set stains and dirty spots (where the finish wore off). I just brushed it on, let it dry and repeated as necessary. Tip: a natural bristle brush ends up breaking down from the strong peroxide.

do you know who the manufactor is? I know Shaw has a 1-800 number that you can call I think even if you do not have Shaw. Engineered wood is not like plank hardwood. It has a thin layer on top to protect the wood butyou do not sand it. It will last for a really long time. Give Shaw a call at their helpline!
