Do you mean what to use to wash hardwood floors? We have waxed hardwood floors and we wash them with a microfiber mop and water. You can see what our floors look like here:

Hi I have all hardwood floors (well two are pine) but so many of my floors are painted. I do wash them, but with just wet rags not lots of water. I also use cleaner. My l.r. floor is just stained wood and where it is bare (no rug covering) I use a product from the hardware store for hardwood floors, It is squirt and wipe with a wet cloth.
Hi Baseballmom999,
I personally like Murphy's Oil Soap for cleaning any kind of wood. What you've read about water actually means that you don't want to leave it sopping wet. You can make your own solution with 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water plus a few drops of Castile soap but when you clean, remove as much water as you can or wipe it down when you're done. An easy way to do that is to put a rag under each foot and polish it that way. Easy peasy. ;) Click on the link below to read more about keeping hardwood floors in good condition so that they last a long, long time. Wishing you the best.

use the Bona hardwood floor cleaner
What I think they meant is Damp, not wet with water. That will destroy. It’s wood - puddles and real wood don’t do well.
Would you leave good furniture out in the rain?
OCedar makes a microfiber mop and bucket combination. The top of the bucket wrings out all excess water. Microfiber picks up stuff.
Several of the people who do testing voted it absolute best. One time buy, machine washable. Have a few extra micro towels to shoe-shuffle dry and buff (great job for kids- put on dancing music). I do this to absolutely dry to make sure there is no water sitting quietly on your beautiful floors. Or under cabinets/corners.
dust mop daily and once in a while just dump cloth
