Regular rubbing alcohol should be able to get it done. But use it on a cotton ball and check it out on an inconspicuous section first. I don't think it would hurt it, but it better to be safe than sorry.
Try Saddle Soap it's for leather. Automotive store.
I use Goo Gone for removal of sticky stuff. Check the label before buying to see if there are contraindications for use on leather.
There are cleaning and conditioning kits for leather furniture....most furniture stores or hardware stores sell them. I have used the cleaner on the headrest...make take a couple of times to get it clean of hair spray but when clean put the conditioner on it and it will look nice again.

And AFTER you ge it off make some little slip covers for the headrest part of you chair/sofa, and you never have to worry!! LOL!!
Have you tried just simple warm water and a Terry cloth wash cloth? Dry it good with a soft cloth.
