Looks like acrylic, are you sure it's glass?
Try cleaning with stainless steel cleaning spray, the kind you use for your fridge. Best thing for glass.
CR Lawrence is one of the largest glass producers in the world. They make amazing glass windows for skyscrapers and they even made my beautiful 1/2 thick shower door. They have glass cleaning down to a science. I always turn to their products to keep my glass doors looking gorgeous. https://www.homedepot.com/p/CRL-19-oz-Somaca-Hi-Sheen-Glass-Cleaner-3371100/203193912
It looks like the glass was made that way so the only thing you can do is to clean it. My glass cleaner is either vinegar or household ammonia in warm water with a bit of dish liquid. Once it is clean only vinegar and water will keep it clean and shiny.
The best way we found to remove gunk from glass is to get 2000 grit wet/dry sandpaper at the auto parts store. Wet the sandpaper and use it on the glass. It will not scratch because the sandpaper is so fine. In no time you have a new looking table or shower door, etc...!
If it is truly glass, maybe it has been sprayed frost spray paint, try a tiny bit of paint remover on a corner to see if it works. If it is sand-blasted, there probably nothing you can do.
I saw a cleaner available to clean the headlights on your car. I think this may work for your table. Let me know if you try it.
Believe it or not, toothpaste (the plain white stuff) and a soft cloth. Rub it on with your finger, then buff it off with the cloth. Work in small sections, and it’ll smooth out the minuscule cracks that are fogging up the glass.
Dear Jabree,
I had purchased some "cocktail" or old fashion glasses at a thrift store and they were cloudy. They stayed cloudy through several dishwasher cycles--over several years--until I used the new Cascade with Clorox (it says "6X the power) on the front. Those old glasses are now sparkling! I would try smearing it on and letting it sit for a while before washing it off.

You might try CLR (Calcium Lime Rust) cleaner or Lime Away cleaner but make sure it is glass not acrylic plate. place glass outside on a warm day above 75 on a plastic sheet with newspaper under the glass . Spray soaking the sheet of glass. lay a damp junk towel over the top an cover it up. let sit for a hour rinse may need to take a safety
y razor to hit anything the cleaner doesn't' remove .
This is for windows, but some of the same techniques and advice still apply: https://www.hometalk.com/diy/clean/windows/how-to-clean-cloudy-glass-windows-44456953
Hi Jabree: Try using a magic eraser dipped in a 50/50 vinegar/water mix. Just be gentle and it should work. Then, rinse and wipe dry.
Is the fog you describle part of the original finish?
