    Hi Vicki, a friend of mine used tea tree oil ro remove the gold etching on hers. Simply wipe it on and wait for a few minutes and then use a craft or utility knife and held it at a 45 degree angle against the gold line to scrap it off.

    Hi Vicki, Never done it but you could try Nail varnish remover on the inside of glass or may be a Very Very Fine abrasive.........

    I'd try something like paint stripper or acetone, etc. You didn't mention what you think they might be made of and that info would be useful.

      The gold on dishes is fired on, I'd guess, but I don't think that would be the case on the glass in your furniture. I hope not because I doubt you could remove it. You've had several good suggestions but when you attack this problem be sure to not scratch the glass; this could ruin the look of your project. Replacement glass can get spendy. You probably need to protect the current finish on the piece if it is important to you.
