How do I remove sticky residue from a wood table?

I had my white photo album on my dark wooden coffee table for about a year and it left a sticky residue (probably from moisture in the air) on the wood and it doesn’t seem to come off easily. What can I safely use on the table to remove the white residue without scratching away the finish on the table? Thank you!!

Try Goo Gone. It won't hurt the wood but, should loosen the residue.
I agree Goo Gone.
I agree. Goo Gone or WD40.
Try WD 40 it gets rid of sticky gum and the residue of sticky tape I find it good for a lot of different uses I hope this helps ...
I would pour baby oil on a soft t-shirt and rub in circles until it comes off. Oil removes sticky. Then remove the baby oil with Windex, followed by Old English for shine.

Murphy oil soap is a great oil based cleaner safe for wood. It has some pretty unique uses too! https://chemistrycachet.com/murphy-oil-soap-uses/
