Sectional sofa: how can you clean beneath it?

Vacuum. Use a hand vacuum or the brush attachment on your vacuum to cleandebris and dirt from the sofa surface. Be sure to clean the crevices where pet hair, food crumbs, and dirt accumulate. If the cushions are not attached, remove them and vacuum both sides.

I bought an EZ Move system several years ago. It has a lever and 8 sliders. Once the sliders are in place furniture is very easy to move. I've been re-doing my bedroom and have several very heavy pieces of furniture. I will say I had to use my own body weight to lift the furniture, but once the sliders are in place I can move it all over the room. Good luck

Our recliner is big and clumsy...and difficult clean under. I have figured out to just stand behind it and lean it forward so the head rest is resting on the floor. I can vacuum the floor and also the underside of the chair. I do agree with other posters that you can get the round coasters to put under the bottom which will help move the chair easily. Hope this helps. P.S. i was glad I tipped the chair over so I could clean it...ew, eww and ewww!

I, too, turn my sectional on it's front and am also able to move it forward. I live alone and it serves many purposes: Vacuuming; pulling out hidden remotes, etc...bug bombing techniques so any stray spiders who find a cozy home underneath get evicted (not that many people have this problem, but turning the couch over helps guarantee you won't ever have that problem)...

I've always used a yardstick with a cloth on the end of it to get under tight spaces like that. Yardsticks are very cheap and a cloth is washable.

I bought a cleaning tool that fits on my vacuum. It's very flat, and has a large opening on one side. So you slide it under the furniture, refrigerator, etc., with the opening facing down, and it vacuums up dust. One I just found online is Gadjit Exten Vac/Flat Vacuum Cleaner Attachment, at Amazon. It's got a 36" reach.
