Go ahead and use baking soda try mixing half in half with a little vina germs well but, after you do that buy you some rain x, the type for car windshields, put some in a spray bottle and spray your bathtub, shower walls and glass doors with the solution then you'll never have that problem with soap scum or hard water deposits. Been using it in my shower now and I never have that problem any more. Spray them down about every 2 months. Love this stuff. Saves a lot of scrubbing at the end.

I echo the above hint. My daughter's housekeeper showed me this technique and it WORKS. She was hired to clean a vacation home bought by a friend of mine in which the shower door was so full of soap scum and hard water scale that it was completely opaque. After she worked her magic with the mixture, it was sparkling. Minimum elbow grease. Most recently I have used it on the exterior of my windows. So easy.

Te me clean sponges. But worked magic on my tub surround. I doubt it had been cleaned in a long time and before I used these sponges I wasted a lot of time and energy
