Dawn brand of Proctor & Gamble is available only in US and Canada. The company does have a presence in South Africa: http://www.za.pg.com/en-ZA/

You can contact them to ask if they sell an equivalent.

Having tried a number of dish liquids, I have to say that there isn't a lot of difference between premium brands. May take a little more Ajax or Palmolive brand to wash the dishes but the dishes are just as clean. If you are making one of the homemade cleaning mixes recommended here, the ratios are not all that critical. Just add a little more of the dish liquid.

I use a product called LDC that sounds similar to dawn soap. Also multipurpose, nontoxic, biodegradable and one of the only products used by sancob to safely clean oil soaked penguins and other sea birds.
