Flossie on Mar 28, 2016Darlyne, I spilt hair dye on my bathroom floor last year and I have tried everything including caustic soda to remove it, it has not even faded. Someone has suggested I buy the solution hair dressers use to remove dye from skin. I will get around to it but not hopeful. I hope you have more luck than me.Helpful Reply

Mother on Mar 28, 2016Get a tube of zit cream with 10 per cent hydrogen peroxide in it. Spread it over the stain, cover with a piece of plastic and seal the edges (to prevent it from drying out). Leave it on the stain for at least 10 days - 14 is better. I managed to remove some aniline die that had resisted everything else- including rubbing alcohol and acetone - with this method.Helpful Reply

Joffler on Mar 28, 2016I'd suggest contacting the company, let them know your dilemma, let them know what, if anything, you've done to the area and let them advise your first. Surely they've had some clean up to do during the manufacturing process. And then, contact your flooring vendor/manufacturer for further advise to see what would damage the flooring, or research what might compromise your floor finish.Helpful Reply
