  • Just so you know, Tupperware will replace for free, no matter who you purchased it from. Goggle for your local Tupperware dealer.

Or soak in vinegar overnight to see if that helps.

    • To Sheryl:. Well the Tupperware dealers in my area honor the product. Tupperware has become quite expensive and they wouldn't have any business if they didn't. One of my friends is doing an international move so we are cleaning out his house - I took some of the Tupperware that was at least 40 years old and my lady had lids to fit!

Agree that just because you Google it's a jumping off point not written in stone. Most people can't Google to begin with but that's another story in itself.

Sears Craftsman Tools and Tupperware may have the best lifetime guarantees I've ever used. They actually mean it. If I buy Tupperware at a yard sale or thrift store, however, I don't ask the company for a replacement. I do convert the pieces from food use to craft use. The containers are often semi-opaque, waterproof and bug proof, and easy to label. And if bleach doesn't remove any yellowing, I sometimes paint the Tupperware! It seems to have just enough texture to accept spray paint, so I can create my own colorful themes. Best wishes 😇

Try giving it a good scrub with Bar Keeper's Friend. Its a scouring powder commonly available at supermarkets and WalMart/KMart.

Mine brightened up when I used Cascade (or one with bleach in it) in the dishwasher, and the Tupperware is from the 1960s.

Back in the 1980's TUPPERWARE CONSULTANTS started not honoring the GUARANTEE. They want you to buy something to get the product you have replaced. I have on more than one occasion been refused by a to get my product replaced because the CONSULTANT has to pay for replacing the piece of TUPPERWARE.

Make a paste of baking soda and bleach. Apply the paste and let this sit over night. Then run thru the dishwasher like usual.
