Take a gallon sized plastic bag and fill it with CLR and put it around the shower head, making sure the "shower" surface of the head is in the CLR.... let it sit for at least an hour and rinse off.... white vinegar can work too if the deposits are not too bad.

Get a plastic baggie, fill it with white vinegar, put it over your shower head and bring it to the top and tie it up there, leave for about an hour or so and then take it down. Your shower head should be clean of all deposits.

Buy some Lime Away. Pour in baggie and rubber band around the shower head. Go away for couple hours and return and remove. Good to go!

I'm with Chubby58's suggestion. Works every time. Best of luck.

Doing this really works, but more is better..if you let the buildup get too big, when you use the vinegar some of the finish will come off also. Depending on hardness of water and buildup, monthly won’t hurt.
