Contact your city water department. Explain the issue. Most are very nice about assisting you. If they won't help, call a plumber. The water might have a smell due to sulphur. I once lived in an area that had an odor to it and nothing could be done.

the water in my town is horrible most run it thru a filter. I do a fair bit of camping, and have rv water filters...attached to a water source, I fill a 5 gallon insulated water cooler for my drinking and cooking needs.

Are you saying that only the water in the bathroom smells? That sounds odd. If you're on city water the water in the kitchen is coming from the same place as the water in the bathroom.

Have the water tested for purity.

Try letting the water run for about 2 minutes just to clear the lines. Does it still smell funny?

Try vinegar and baking soda mixed together it will flush your pipes clean. You will smell a very nasty smell after you pour it in.Let it set for 30 min. then flush it down with hot water. What you are smelling are sewer gases.
