How to take care of a fake ficus tree?

I have a fake ficus tree that is constantly covered in dust. I don't have the patience to clean each leaf. I was wondering what others did to clean theirs?

    There's a couple of ways to do this. A) buy silk plant cleaner, take the plant outside (or shower stall but then you have to clean the shower), spray leaves heavily and slow to drop dry. B) or you can take tree outside, cover the base with a trash bag, lean the tree at an angle and spray with a garden hose with the spray set to MIST, let dry in a shaded area. I do mine a cou

    Oops. I do mine spring and fall and they still look good.
  • You can also take it outside and use your blow dryer.

    I just windex the whole plant. I do this with all artificial greenery. If you want shine, after it dries, spray with furniture polish. I use Old English that comes in a spray bottle. :)

    An easy way, is to put it in the shower, spray it down, and wait for it to dry before putting it back out ...I have done this with artificial plants, as well as live plants.
  • In the summer take it ousdide and blast it with the hose, in the winter give it a nice warm shower in the bathroom.

    get cheap hair spray and just spray it down. I do this to my fake plants all the time, cleans the dirt and leaves them shiny

    Spray it down with scrubbing bubbles outside. Looks new again!
