How can I fix or clean white plastic sinks in my bathroom?

They look terrible! They have Cigarette burns and scrub marks from previous owners and I tried to scrub them out with stealwool and purple stuff It made it worse than before. How can I fix it without replacing the sinks? My gmail is( conniehorton1945@gmail.com )

    You might try sanding and painting with a tub or tile paint. If it is a counter top sink that might be a good option. Will work either way. I don't know how thick they are but you could get creative and do some mosaic work on them if you consider them a lost cause. Might be fun.
