Is the smell in clothing? You can spritz them with white vinegar run them through the dryer on air fluff.

It’s in the house we just bought. Super pungent in the closets. I’ve already vacuumed the walls, floor and shelves, there’s not carpe, and I’ve sprayed it down with water/vinegar/lemon oil.

Mostly in the closets, but also in a sitting room that’s attached to a closet. I think it’s literally in the walls

I hang cedar sachets and lavender sachets in my closet. This is a difficult odor to get rid of, especially if they have been used for s long time.

Air. Moth balls contain a petroleum product. It will dissipate into the air if given plenty of fresh air. Use a floor fan helps move the air around. When very little odor is detected, give the garments a good steam pressing. The heat will complete the dissipation; The steam will freshen the fibers. Dry cleaning will definite take out the smell quickly.

  • Charcoal. Place a bunch of it wherever you need to get rid of any odor.

Place several bowls of vinegar around the house and run several fans. I will take some time but all odors eventually go away. Your other option may be to paint with Kilz. Good luck and be patient. There are worse odors to contend with.
