I need to know how to get mold spores out of a wooden breadbox.
My husband gave me a beautiful wooden bread box, but once when I was ill bread got left in it too long, and it molded. Now everything I put in molds. I have even tried getting two of the same bread product and leaving one out and putting the other in, and the one in the breadbox molded but the other didn't. Is there any way I can get rid of the mold spores and resume using the breadbox?

I mix up vinegar and water, wash, rinse dry out, make sure it is totally dry, If you put in warm bread etc, it will draw moisture, that s when things mold.
Vinegar! Wipe our with vinegar and set out in the sun for an afternoon to dry out. Wipe out every few weeks with a bit of vinegar.
Thanks to all of you! I'll start on this immediately.
