Is it possible to clean old grout?

I bought a house and the grouted ceramic tile in the kitchen REALLY needs cleaning. Can it be done or do I have to regrout?

Try Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner. It is a gel and I have found it works very well. When and if you get them nice and clean, think about putting a sealer on the grout. I would try this before redoing the grout, which is a big job.

I have watched a video of someone drilling through a tooth brush head. Then putting a screw though the hole. Then cutting the handle of the brush, the screw bit is fixed to the inside of the drill head and then they used this to clean the grout. Not tried it. Saw it on Pinterest but haven't got the link
