Stains on Marble countertop

Love my new marble countertop in my bathroom. However, I find it stains very easily. Even water glass circles remain if not wiped up immediately. Bought marble cleaner and try to keep the area stain free. Is there something I can use to protect the marble from further use?

Marble is my favorite! I have a hunk I use for pastry and chocolate making. Your stoneyard and installer SHOULD have warned you up front about staining and SHOULD have sealed it for you as well as provide "after installation care and maintenance" information. see about either having the marble sealed or do yourself. This should stop staining.
I agree with Naomie and netprophet. All natural stone must be sealed. Also, only use a neutral cleaner on marble.
Gosh, I am thinking of using marble squares for a bathroom and kitchen floor. Will I constantly be dealing with stains? What if it is sealed?
Marble must be sealed. It is porous and stains easily. Don’t place things that might stain it directly on the marble. Designers love to use marble but many don’t like to live with it
