What’s the best solution for cleaning walls AFTER removing wallpaper
The wallpaper is vinyl and has been up for about 20 years. Want to paint the walls now. Thanks
TSP is what I have always used.
Trisodium phosphate or TSP. Works like a dream and it's not messy. Removes the glue plus any grease, grime and dirt built up. Perfect for before you do anything to your walls like painting, tiling, stenciling or re-papering. Inexpensive and you can get it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

TSP is a good cleaner for this project
Combine hot water, a few drops of liquid dish soap, and a tablespoon of baking soda in a bucket and mix well. Put it in a spray bottle and use a sponge or scraper if necessary.
TSP should work great to remove any remaining wallpaper glue, dirt, etc. TSP also works well to clean painted walls or cabinetry before painting.
