How to Clean Stainless Steel Sinks and Make Them Shine
Bar Keepers Friend
I second bar keepers friend!!!
cameo stainless steel cleaner, i had a janitorial job at a manufacturing plant. metal shavings would get into the sinks and rust. comet wouldn't get it out, but the cameo did.
This may sound strange but I have shined mine up with baby oil. Give it a good cleaning and yes I always use Barkeepers Friend then apply and buff and buff some more. It gives a nice shine but you will have to reapply but I have found it gives a nice appearance and a new life. Always make sure to use the correct cleaner with stainless steel.
Try Bar Keepers Friend, then wipe out with alcohol
Thank you for the help.
That is it Bar Keepers Friend also if you drink tea or coffee, it can stain. I just pour bleach all over the sink, let it set and rinse.
Where do you buy bar keepers friend
Any Grocery Store should have it. It would be by Comet or any cleanser of this type.
Thank you
Comet kitchen cleanser
For a Friendly clean, try salt and a lemon. Buy a fresh lemon and cut it in half. Wet your sink just enough to get the salt to stick to the sides and bottom. Sprinkle salt n the surfaces and then squeeze the lemon until you get some juice up top...then use the lemon to scrub the sink all over, with the salt. The salt give you some abrasion and the lemon gives you a slight acid cleaning without the chemical issues. AND it smells GREAT.
I use furniture polish. Spray it on and keep wiping
I have used Liquid Gold for years on anything that is stainless steel, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, sinks, A little goes a long ways.
The best fix is make a paste of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.the results are amazing
I never had a problem. I don't mean leave it set for hours, just 3 to 5 min.
Cerama Bryte is a great stainless cleaner.
Clean with a sponge and baking soda, rinse well, dry and then add a couple of drops of vegetable oil to a small cloth and rub all areas of the sink. It'll look brand new.
