Where do you use your Magic Eraser?

One of the few cleaning products that I can say I absolutely love, is my Magic Eraser. It cleans up bathtub scum and glass shower doors like nothing. But I also used my Magic Eraser recently to remove scuff marks from a pair of white dress shoes. My daughter was a bridesmaid in her best friend's wedding and she scuffed up her shoes the day of the wedding. I pulled out my Magic Eraser and it worked like Magic!

So, how and where do you use your Magic Eraser?

What? Wow! I have a nice-sized black spot on my carpet from my daughter coloring her hair! I have tried many of the "new" ways to get hair color out of carpets. None have worked. *sigh* I'm excited to try this. However, I DO KNOW that since it has had numerous cleaners AND has been there for months, this awesome trick may not work. But... Should this happen at HER HOUSE, now that she is married and gone, I can share this tip! So thank you! Thank you very much!

I have very successfully removed car paint when another car has left it's paint from a 'brush by' collision. Just damp Magic Eraser and light pressure. GWS

use Magic Erase all over the house - stains on kitchen counters and floors, scuff marks on any floor and wall or in the house, including molding. I have even used Magic Erase on my leather shoes to take of scuff marks. 10 years I have been using Magic Erase products. Love...love...love them!

I love a product called Purple Power. It comes in spray bottles and is sold at auto supply stores. It cleans greas better than anything I have ever used. My neighbor came over with her bottle when I was scrubbing filthy, greasy car mats. When I sprayed it on, the dirt disappeared! I also use it in the laundry room. Gets grease, oil and even blood stains out.

I've used it on my pool tile...does a pretty good job of getting the dirt that accumulates at the water line. Great product, just wish it didn't disintegrate so fast.

I've read not to use them in pools, but I did it ALL the time when we had a pool. It was the ONLY thing that would clean the plastic steps in the vinyl pool!!!

Walls! Gently rub over offending spot with a slightly damp Magic Eraser. Spots gone. Saves repairing when you are moving.

Use them to get the grease off kitchen cabinets, and all that grease that accumulates under the stove hood. I saw someone take off magic marker off a wall with these also.

I absolutely love Magic Erasers and use them on everything except cloth. I've used them to clean mildew off lawn furniture, scuff marks on our tile and marble floors, cleaning my glass cooktop, removed tea stains, coffee stains, mustard and ketchup stains on my formica counter tops so quickly, cleaning my stainless steel kitchen sink, I use them on my pots and pans, microwave, you name it I've used it on it and have so far not found anything it won't work on and work good on. I've used it on everything from ceramic tile, marble, formica, plastic, steel, tin, glass, wood (both sealed and painted woods). You name it and I bet I've used them on it at some point in time and if I haven't you can bet I will be trying it sometime. I've even used them to clean our fiberglass shower and whirlpool tub and scuff marks on our tennis shoes. I've also used them to clean the water line stains on our swimming pool liner before we open our pool in the spring. We smoke so our white staircase spindals turn dingy over time and with a little dawn and water and of course my Mr. Clean sponges they come out nice and white again. I have found that the off brands don't hold up as long or work as good as Mr. Clean does. I do wish they cost less and would hold us longer then they do but I will never be without them in my house because they save me tons of hard scrubbing using something else that I'd be having to do without them. These things are a real Godsend! Can you tell I really love these little sponges! LOL

I became hooked on these things one day while cleaning my mother's house. I had been trying for some time to find something that would clean her linoleum floor in the kitchen. Took up all the scuffs, wheels marks from the walkers, and food stains.

  • Gay8021894 Gay8021894 on Jan 21, 2017

I have bought the store brand of this magic eraser and it worked just as well and cost less, but by far this product and the brand name one clean the shower and tub better than anything else and I dont even use any cleaner most of the time it just takes soap scum right off.

Use it to clean you curling iron, it gets full of gunk from hair spray and other hair products. Works like magic!

Love this product and will clean anything I think it won't damage. I bought an off brand once on Amazon, but they were not as good. I cut them to the size I need for a job; less waste and sometimes easier to get into small spaces.

Wow what am I doing wrong? I hate them because they have never worked for me. I tried on white kitchen laminate counters and I scrubbed and scrubbed. I got the soft scrub and it worked like a charm. I tried them on my walls and once nothing came off not flat paint yet it did remove some of it. Soap scum nothing. Yet my sister loves them. I have no clue as to why I can't get them to work for me. I use brillo for a beautiful shiny stainless steel sink and faucets. I use Stanley degreaser for stove top and stainless steal appliances leaves it all shiny clean, doesn't last in a house of 5 but at least I can enjoy it while they are sleeping.
