How do you get rid of stains on stainless steel sinks?

I have stains on sink and not sure how to get rid of them and protect sink from future stains. One looks rust like.

  • Mix equal parts lemon juice and baking soda into a paste. Rub this paste over the stain with a damp sponge. Or, mix a tablespoon of cream of tartar with a couple of drops of lemon juice. Rub this paste on rust spots and stains until they come off.

    My best results for my sink comes from Comet. Sprinkle it on the sink then use enough water on a cloth to make a paste consistency then let it sit for a bit and then scrub well. Hope that helps!

    Put paper towels around the sink, and saturate it with vinegar. Leave on for about one hour, wipe with paper towels till dry. I use alcohol once a week to shine my stainless steel. I don't use it on my stove. Buy a stainless steel cleaner for your sink, if you feel alcohol is not what you want to use.
