How do I get graffiti off a cedar fence?

My fence was graffitied with spray paint. I really don't like the look of painted fences & would love it if I could somehow get it off. How do I strip the paint off the wood fence? Thank You!

Karen...What material is your fence?
It can probably be sanded if you can’t use paint stripper on it.
You could try power washing, but cedar sucks up paint and may come clean without damage to fence. A paint stripper may help getting most off.

There are solutions that can easily re-age the wood to better match existing.
That really sucks!! should not paint cedar it diminishes ability of wood to deter bugs/deterioration. Start by rubbing paint thinner over the affected area. If the graffiti isn't responding to the paint thinner you'll need to use your hand scraper to gently pull the graffiti from your fence. Next, you will pressure wash your fence, just as if it were covered with more natural dirt and debris. http://www.a1-fence.com/how-to-remove-graffiti-from-a-wood-fence/ Our county has graffiti squad/dept. that when notified documents and removes the graffiti( no charge); they document it to help keep track of gang infiltration into neighborhoods; you should for sure call police and file report then check with home owners insurance about repairs especially if it is alot.
