How to clean the aluminum chimes?

I have several chimes that are usually outside but now the aluminum chimes are pitted and I can't find any way to get them shiny again. I would like ideas or an answer to this question?

BIO Cleaner clay cleaner non scratch

The easiest fix is to clean them thoroughly, dry them completely and spray paint them. Rustoleum & Krylon have beautiful shiny metallic colors!
