How to clean copper residue stains from stucco? Tried pressure washer with very limited success. Tried trisodium phosphate with no success. Tried other exterior cleaning products with pressure washer with little success. The soaps did remove the mold/mildew but not the copper stain/residues on the stucco. Anyone have ideas of what else to try. I do not want to seal and paint the stucco.

    Hi Eddie,

Maybe seal the copper and re-paint after using stain cover paint (available from DIY's or eBay) etc.

Isn't stucco supposed to be sealed and painted? Only thing to do is to seal the copper and let the old stains fade away with age

My stucco had the color mixed in with the stucco when it was installed so the color is all the way through the stucco. It has been over 10 years and I am not sure if the stucco was sealed when installed. I was told that if I ever painted it that I would have to continue to paint the stucco every few years. Seems that I should have sealed the copper when it was new. Your idea sounds best, clean the copper and then seal it and don't worry about the old stains for a few more years.
