How do I get rid of sand in my gravel rock driveway?

We have a gravel rock driveway and back yard that now has beach sand in it due to a hurricane and heavy rains and wind. Is there any easy way to get rid of the sand before the weeds start?

Could you use a shop vac with the crevice tool so you don't suck up the rocks? Or, is the area too large to do that?

Wish I had that beach problem. Itā€™s always rain in Pittsburgh ! Enjoy.

Do weeds grow in sand? I would have thought sand would help deture weeds.

    Would a blower work?

Weeds plants grow anywhere everywhere as long as they have what they need to grow. After 25yrs as pro. landscaper/gardener I've seen cacti growing off cliffs in a waterfall(SW)and weeds growing out of asphalt shingles on roof(MW) just give them some sun & water.

Try a water hose low down on gravel on high flow and see if you cannot get it flooded back out. This will also wash seeds away. Sand or no sand the weeds will probably grow any way because everything has been blown everywhere so as soon as you see any growth in yard or drive way spray the plant. Use Round_Up concentrate you mix yourself add food coloring to it so you know where you have sprayed/where spray is going. Do not use in any breeze/wind,use gloves,do not walk/get in wet solution. Round_Up works by it soaking in green growing leaves then into plant then into root system so directly spraying each plant/leaves is most effective. Round-Up is no deadlier than any other pesticide(flea tick mosquito stuff put in on their pets) herbicides and fertilizers, paint thinners etc. well you get it chemicals. Just follow the safety instructions. Do not let any of the plants you do not want in your yard garden go to seed spreading even more. My honest opinion is save your energy trying to remove sand and just get ready to start spraying it .
