Here is a super easy one using a bandana and rubber bands, I used elastic ponytail holders to make mine. No sew. Easy to adjust for your face size. These are comfortable. They have a few more layers as well between your face and the outside world!

Hi,
You can take a gents cotton handkerchief or tea towel. Fold the long sides into the middle. Repeat, then slip an elastic band or a hair elastic band over each end. Turn the sides to the middle. The bands become the ties around your ears and the mask is adjusted to fit the face. Hope that helps. Be safe!
Keep in mind that no home made mask will have the capacity to block out the COVID 19 virus.
It has been suggested that some kind of face protection be worn when in close contact with others to help discourage you from touching your mouth with your hands, as it is often not possible to wash your hands frequently while in public. However correct procedure must be followed. If not, then there is more risk that you could develop skin and lip irritations due to not handling or wearing the mask properly.
Inserting materials to act as a filter inside a home made mask will not protect you more and will not help block out the COVID 19 virus.
The most effective masks to block out air borne contagions are only those rated as N-95. These are a medical supply product that are manufactured.

A medical mask protects us from viruses, but it can protect those around us if we wear covid. I will try to give a simple example, but I hope for everyone's understanding. If you walk around naked and someone urinates on you, you will undoubtedly get wet. If you wear pants and someone pees on you, you are partially protected. But if a person who wants to pee on you is wearing pants, they will pee on themselves, not on you. However, I choose a medical mask that is treated with antiseptics. A self-made cover can't protect us, just like an instant covid test can't be even 80% accurate. The test needs to enter some conditions, and it needs time.
